Millstones were originally designed for the crushing of seeds, nuts, and grains to make vrious food items. They were also used to grind plant fibre to make rope and other such items. Some millstones feature a top stone called a muller or pounder. Millstones are used today in a variety of fashions including pond and water features, decorative garden ornaments and such. They could also be buried in the ground for amazing landings or impressive stepping stones in the garden.
