In conjunction with the BioSmart range of products, Vitronic becomes a modular part of the filter system, with no extra plumbing needed. The clarifier simply hooks onto the filter box with all accessories included.

Vitronic is a simple, yet flexible UV clarifier designed to interoperate with all filter systems, although best suited for OASE BioSmart filters. It helps in the reduction of algae and phytoplankton, as well as limiting the growth of harmful pathogens. The compact design allows for easy installation. The quick-lock ballast head makes changing the UV bulb a breeze. UV operation can be safely monitored through the included large aperture viewer.

Note: UV bulbs degrade over time and should be replaced every 8000 hours (about once per year) to maintain maximum efficiency. UV bulb operation can be checked with the built-in function check.

  5. Safely confirm that the UVC is working with clear tubing adaptors and the visual inspection window at the top of the filter
  6. Quick release provides easy UV unit opening and closing for easy bulb change and cleaning of the quartz glass
  7. UVC bulbs should be changed at regular intervals, ideally in spring before the season starts, to guarantee the full capacity of the UVC output
