The Aquascape Biofalls Signature 2500 can filter ponds up to 200 sq. ft. and 2500 gallons (approximate). The 6000 can filter ponds up to 8520 sq. ft. and 6000 gallons (approximate). Features a 20" wide waterfall wier.There are three types of pond filters which include biological, mechanical, and chemical/sterilizer filters. This particular Biological filter works by using bacteria to break down pond wastes, converting them into harmless particles that can be used as aquatic plant fertilizers.
